Connect your domain at Squarespace Domains

Two small changes. About 5 minutes.

Do not change MX or email records. Change only the two records below, and your email keeps working.

Log in to Squarespace Domains. Forgot your login?

1. Point www to your new site

  1. Open your Domains dashboard and click yourdomain.com.
  2. Click DNS, then DNS settings.
  3. If you see Squarespace Defaults, click the red trash can next to it, then click Delete.
  4. If a www record is under Custom Records, hover over it and click the pencil to edit it.
  5. Otherwise, scroll to Custom Records, click Add record, and enter your password if asked.
  6. Choose CNAME in Type, type www in Name, and type the address in our email in Data.
  7. Click Save.

2. Forward your domain to www

  1. In the Domains dashboard, click yourdomain.com, then click Website.
  2. Scroll to Domain Forwarding Rules, click Add rule, and enter your password if asked.
  3. In Subdomain, type @, and do not add www.
  4. Under Enter website URL, type www.yourdomain.com without https://.
  5. Under Advanced settings, choose Permanent Redirect (301).
  6. Under Path Forwarding, choose Maintain paths, then click Save.

Tip: If you see "Unable to save this domain forwarding rule", delete any old A, AAAA, or ALIAS record for @ in DNS, then try again.
