What changes, and when
The dates are on Vimeo's own pages: Vimeo On Demand shutdown and the seller FAQ.
- August 22, 2026: new uploads to Vimeo On Demand stopped.
- September 21, 2026: new purchases and subscriptions stopped.
- September 24, 2026: Vimeo expected to send final seller payouts.
- November 20, 2026: VOD pages and storefronts go offline, and viewers lose access to what they bought or rented.
- Your videos are not deleted. Vimeo says they stay in your account under your plan's storage terms.
- Your buyer list: Vimeo lets you export only the viewers who opted in to updates (your VOD page settings, Audience tab, "Export email addresses"). Do it before November 20.
What you get, and what you do not
For up to 5 titles
- A buy page for each title: your poster or a still, your description, the price, and a pay button.
- The pay button is a Stripe Payment Link that you make in your own Stripe account, so the money goes straight to you. We send short steps for making it.
- A watch page for each title with your video, played from your Vimeo account. After a buyer pays, Stripe sends them there.
- A "we moved" email you send to your opted-in buyers, with the new address. You choose if it also gives past buyers the watch link, so they keep watching after November 20.
- The pages as files you upload to your site, or as code you paste into your site builder.
Not included
- Logins, accounts, or a members area (see the limits below).
- Moving or uploading your video files.
- Subscriptions, rentals that expire, or other currencies.
- Emailing your buyers for you. You send the email.
We never ask for your password
You email us your VOD page link, your Vimeo video links, your titles and prices, and your Stripe Payment Links. All of those are links you can share. We never ask for your Vimeo or Stripe password, and we never log in to your accounts.
The limits, in plain words
- Anyone with the watch page link can watch. This is not a locked members area. A buyer can pass the link to a friend, and we cannot stop that. If you need logins, this is not the right fix for you.
- You need a paid Vimeo plan (Starter or above). With it, you set your video to "Embed only" and allow only your own site, so it does not play on vimeo.com or on other sites. We send the steps. Vimeo's help pages say these settings are not on the Free plan.
- On Vimeo's Free plan, this does not work. A Free video is either public, so anyone can watch it on vimeo.com, or private, so it cannot play on your site. If you plan to drop to Free, tell us before you pay, and we will tell you plainly.
- Your Vimeo plan and Stripe fees stay yours. We charge only the $79. Stripe takes its normal fee on each sale.

What if it does not work?
If your pages do not work as this page says, we refund the $79 in full. Terms.
Do my buyers keep what they bought?
On Vimeo, only until November 20. Vimeo says viewers can watch at vimeo.com/purchases until then, and download a title if you allowed downloads. After that, your new watch page is the way back, if you send them the link.
Can I email all my past buyers?
Only the ones who opted in to updates. Vimeo does not give out the full buyer list, for privacy reasons. Export the opted-in list before November 20.
Should I use Vimeo's own suggestion instead?
Vimeo points sellers to its other video platform, Vimeo OTT. If you want subscriptions, apps, or logins, look at it first. Our page is for sellers who want a simple shop on their own site, paid once.
